Apart from adding flavour to food, ginger is also known for its health benefits. Ginger tea doesn’t just help against period pain, it also gives relief from cold and flu symptoms, such as sore throat and nasal congestion. To get the best result, add one teaspoon of Tiger Ginger Powder to warm water and drink it three times a day.

Oats are healthy and we all know that! Whether you enjoy them as a snack or as a breakfast, they are going to do good for your body! Oats are packed with fibre, which helps in making you feel full for longer plus improving your digestion. They are also loaded with zinc and magnesium, which helps in making your period symptoms less severe. This scrumptious fruit helps your muscles relax calming down pains and cramps. It will also help boost your mood, making you feel happier! You can eat it plain, drink it as a juice or smoothie, for a delicious treat.

Bananas
When we eat bananas, our body gets vitamin B6 and Potassium, both of which can be useful in relieving cramps as well as bloating. Bloating is another most common period symptom which almost every woman encounters while they are on their periods. So, eat bananas and feel better! It also contains melatonin that helps to regulate the body’s natural rhythms and provide a good night’s rest.

Green Vegetables
We lose so much blood during periods, so, we must eat more iron to compensate for the blood loss. Efo riro, Vegetable Sauce, Green smoothies with Spinach are some of the food we should add to our meal plan. They are a great source of calcium to alleviate menstrual cramps.
