Valentine’s Day is on Friday, yeeaahhh!!! Valentine on a weekend is just amazing. Okay, let’s get back to the topic. So whether you are spending the day with a special someone or getting together with friends, celebrate it right. We are already used to going through the hassle of making dinner reservations, getting stuck in traffic to reach your destination or burning a big hole in your pocket to buy an exotic gift for your partner well, those are beginning to get boring and predictable. How about we find other fun and exciting ways to celebrate the lover’s day while adding sparks to the relationship? We have a few ideas to make this worth your while.
Recreate your first date
Do you still remember your first date? What you wore and what you both talked about? This Valentine’s Day is the perfect occasion to go down the memory lane and recreate those moments. It would make you realize how far you both have come along, and ending this day with a bubble bath together won’t be a bad idea.
Spend Quality Time with Loved One
Make time for what’s important and spend quality time with your loved ones. The easiest way to spend quality time with loved ones is to involve them in your day. Cuddle with your significant other on a couch and watch a movie. Try to avoid distractions, such as surfing the internet, chatting on the phone while around people, or deciding to do other things yourself or with another group of people.
Pick up some of your significant other’s chores for the day
That depends on your partner’s idea of romance. If your partner responds strongly to acts of service, then this might be the one that sends them into a euphoric height of happiness.
Create a calendar with photos of the two of you
Photo calendars won’t break the bank for Valentine’s Day. A sweet, practical – and beautiful calendar is a great way to remember all the moments that matter most all year round. Make a photo collage in a video form with the romantic song that you both love. Trust me, this would be so fun-filled.
Leave notes on their pillow
While this idea might seem old fashioned it is quick, simple and sweet. Handwritten love letters and notes show your partner just how much you care. Make them fun with colourful papers, scissors, and glue. Stick them on their pillow, purse/wallet, dining table and the most random places where they would find them easily. You can indulge with your partner for the rest of the day.
Have a favourite take-out contest
Okay, you’ll really love this one. Each of you should order your favourite take out meal and then decide whose meal tastes best. The Loser buys a drink for the other. Fun right! You can as well do this with the kids. They’ll help you decide who wins and join in the fun when the drinks are served.
Remember to take a digital break and spend some uninterrupted time with your valentine. You may also read a book together, cook meals and play card games. Whatever you do on Valentine’s Day, do it because you love your partner and you want them to know just how much they mean to you in the most exciting manner.
Have a memorable Valentine Buddies!
