When the weather is cold, and we are at home trying to keep it warm and cosy, then your tummy starts rumbling, demanding food, what usually comes to mind? Is it a Hot Tea/Coffee, a steaming plate of spicy jollof rice or a large bowl of fresh fish pepper soup? Today we decided to prepare fish Peppersoup for the cold weather. Fish pepper soup is one of the easiest and fastest meals to cook among different Nigerian pepper soups; also it is very easy to mess up if not prepared with care. This dish demands concentration, good timing and attention. Fish, being delicate doesn’t need prolonged cooking, so you will need to get enough flavour into it in the shortest possible time. If not handled with care, it will break up. You don’t want that.
Fish pepper soup is a warm and soothing soup enjoy by all Nigerians. It’s simple, spicy, and flavourful. But don’t let its simplicity fool you; this soup packs a powerful and complex flavour that will hook you in from the first sip. It is quite spicy but very soothing.
